Going down was surreal. First, it's a shadow in the blue, then suddenly it came into view. It was enormous. The ship is now a thriving new home, draped in corals and swarming with fish. I spotted giant groupers hiding from the hull, and lionfish hiding in the superstructure. That feeling of swimming alongside this silent, ghostly vessel is hard to describe—eerie, awe-inspiring, and humbling all at once. It truly is a time capsule under the water.
